First blog site / First blog

About me:

My name is Peter Nguyen. I'm currently 27 years old and will be turning 28 the end of this June. I'm currently working in the field of IT at a well known internet site. I'm currently proudly serving in the Navy Reserve, prior to joining the Reserve, I served on Active Duty for 6 years from 98 to 2004.

The reason for this blog site is because of an encouragement of a co-worker, Jeffrey McFerson. We have been using Exchange 2007 and Windows 2008 in our work environment and have ran into several roadblocks. All of which were eventually resolved, however, not many of our challenges are posted on the internet due to the fact that these are fairly new products. So, to gauge the interests of the technical community I posted a question/poll on linkedin.com and have received great encouragements from those who have responded. So, here I am with my first blog site hoping that the information that I post from hereon will help someone somewhere in the future.

So, the plan for this blog is for me to write about things that I learn from work and on my own research. Topics can range anywhere from Asterisk to Zimbra, however, most likely will be concentrated on Windows 2003 & 2008, Active Directory, Exchange 2007, Powershell scripting, VoIP. Any ideas or comments please feel free to drop me a line here. Thanks.

Cheers,
Peter Nguyen
